Martin’s Corner is a family owned business established in 1951 by Richard (Dick) Martin and his son Robert. Located in the Heart of Chicago community, Martin’s is a classic “Neighborhood Bar”.
A true family-run business, the entire Martin family has contributed to it’s success over the years, starting with Lorraine Martin, taking over after the untimely death of her husband Robert in 1968. In 1985, her son Robert took over and expanded to include a full dining menu. Working alongside Robert through the years have been Cynthia and Karyn Martin.
Over the years, Martin’s Corner has had a few brushes with fame. First appearing in the original “The Untouchables” movie and more recently in multiple episodes of the popular TV series “Chicago PD”.
Martin’s Corner sits in the shadows of another Chicago relic, St. Paul’s Church – recognized in “Ripley’s Believe It or Not” as the only church built without nails.
Martin’s Corner will be celebrating its 65th anniversary in 2016, and looks forward to celebrating this milestone with our customers.
